Blast from the past.

I've been working on cleaning up the guest room to make it liveable again since I brought so many boxes in from the garage. I was working to make the garage spacious enough for my car to park inside, but, alas, that's not to be! Being married to a contractor requires sacrifices, even my side of the garage. At least his chop saw is safe and dry.

So I brought a bunch of boxes in that had stuff from my old room at Mom and Dad's. One of them was FILLED with old photos! Such good memories sprang out at me from that box...I came across binders that I used at Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach, and I couldn't resist scanning photos I'd stuck haphazardly in the covers of each into my computer to share with you. It would be nearly impossible to impress on you the texture of the memories behind each photo, so I won't even begin to try! Just think of lovely things when you look at them:]

Rockaway Beach, Feb. '06

Ah, wouldn't you know it, but my internet is failing me AGAIN. I find myself back at Mom and Dad's house, relying on their wireless to send my work in to my boss. Freakin' Comcast.

So, Nate and I spent last Friday evening, all of Saturday, and the beginning of Sunday (Feb. 2-4) in Rockaway Beach. It was so wonderful! We really enjoyed the little house we stayed in...The weather was gloomy on Friday and Saturday, but the sun was brilliant on Sunday. We had plans to get back to Rick and Karen's for a Superbowl party, so we had to leave the coast, but I was so tempted to stay:) It was beautiful! AND it smelled like the beach, all fishy. We have plans to go back again in a few months.

I'm sorry, but we totally forgot to take our camera to the Superbowl party! I would love to have posted a picture of the food...There were 9 adults there (although Ricky left early), and we were all eating, but it looked utterly untouched. The leftovers could have served another 20 adults!

So, because I don't have pictures of the Superbowl, you'll just have to enjoy these ones from the beach:)

Blessings!

Miss Linsea

I was finally able to connect with my old friend (we met in the third grade), Linsea Weigel, today! We had breakfast at Bob's Red Mill...It was so nice to just sit down and chat. She's probably the cutest pregnant lady I've ever met:)

Nate and I are getting ready to take off to Rockaway Beach, where we're staying in a little cabin for the weekend. It's at Twin Rocks Friend's Camp. Here's a picture of the building:

It's one room with a twin bed and a trundle bed, and not much else! We're just so excited to get away for awhile. We made our reservations back in November, and I was super disappointed at how long we had to wait to go at that time, but now it couldn't be better timing. Nate's been going nonstop, so this quiet will be nice:) If you call, we won't be answering!

Blessings:)
